Transition of IGA Supermarkets and Liquor Stores to Ritchies

We are pleased to share that the transition of our Hastings Co-op IGA Supermarkets and Liquor Stores to Ritchies Stores Pty Ltd is almost completed. This marks a new chapter for these stores while ensuring continuity for employees, customers, and the wider community.

What This Means for You

• Employees Retained – We are proud to confirm that all supermarket and liquor store employees have transferred to Ritchies and have been offered ongoing employment, ensuring stability for staff and continuity of service.
• Same Trading Hours – Customers can continue to shop at their local stores with no changes to trading hours.
• Seniors Discount Continues – Ritchies is committed to maintaining the Seniors Discount program, ensuring valued customers continue to receive benefits.
• Support for Local Suppliers – We look forward to working closely with Ritchies to ensure many of our long-standing local suppliers continue to have their products available on supermarket shelves.

Sovereign Place will transfer to Ritchies on Monday 24th March.
