Locals supporting locals
Hastings Co-op has proudly been part of the Hastings community since 1916, originally formed as a community-owned co-operative to support and serve local people. More than a century later, that founding spirit still guides everything we do.
We remain deeply committed to enhancing the lives of our members and the wider community. Each year, we sponsor hundreds of local clubs, schools, charities, and community groups. Our ‘locals supporting locals’ philosophy runs through every aspect of our operations—from creating local job opportunities and championing local producers to working side-by-side with the community to help our region continue to grow and thrive.
We’re proud to live, work, and play in this beautiful part of the world and look forward to supporting our community for many more years to come.
Empowering local community groups
In 2023–24, we were proud to invest $15,500 back into our region through our Community Chest Grants, supporting ten local community groups. These grants helped bring to life a wide range of meaningful initiatives—making a real difference where it matters most.
